This is such a pretty little hinged box. It is silverplated and I think, maybe German b/c it has what looks to be one of the eagles they used as a hallmark. It is so small that I can only see that with my loop... The box is oval with a Greek key design running around the center of the bowl with an area for a monogram or name. The top has a strawberry on a stem with leaves. Very intricate design. The feet are shell designed. Measures 4 1/2" tall x 4 1/5" wide. Excellent condition !!!
