(5) 1930's Robert Riggs Faust German Opera / Theater Stage Settings Original Art Paintings. Robert Riggs is a well Listed American Artist (1896–1970) was one of the most successful American print makers of 1930's and 1940's. Born in Illinois, Riggs worked as a freelance artist and an illustrator. The largest black and white work of art measures 20" x 16" signed and titled Faust with and old surface tear along upper corner as shown. The drawing of the Monk in black and white charcoal /chalk pastels measures 16" x 10" signed Riggs "35". The other three original works of art measure 18" x 12, 12" x 7" (exterior image of castle) signed Riggs "35" , Faust Camera Shot measuring 17.5" x 13.5 with image 9 1/4" x 7 1/4" and lastly exterior castle image measuring 15" x 11" with image measuring 7" x 4". This original art has some original notations and side drawings by the Artist. These original works of art were purchased directly from the estate of Robert Riggs many years ago but the previous owner / collector. This exceptional lot is fresh and clean with some normal age wear but overall excellent.
