This is a very unusual hat made from black linen and adorned with rosettes of woven raffia with strips of linen festoons which ruffle with movement. The hat has a thin wire in the outer rim to create any look you wish. Because of the wire, this hat defies any certain fashion era and can be bent into any desired shape. The linen is semi transparent and allows air to flow making it suitable for summer.
The hat measures roughly 13" in circumference at the outer brim. There is no size labeled inside, my best guess would be a 7 1/2. The original inner band has a second band hand-stitched over the top of it. I don't know why but I didn't want to mess with it. There is a label, Naft de Luca. I do not know if it is original as it is stitched to the second band.
With the exception of the inner band issue, the hat is in excellent condition. There are no holes or missing pieces. It is a fun hat to wear and has a wonderful look.
