This is a c 1900 small round dresser casket with a heavy beveled glass hinged lid. This box measures 3" in height and 3" in diameter. It features 4 brass claw feet and banding of brass, with a single wide band of bronze, exquisitely decorated in detail with flowers and leaves that surround ovals with swans.
The lid is heavy, round bevelled glass just under 1/2" in thickness. There is a tiny fleabite nick on the beveled glass edge and a few visible scratches on the glass surface. The box is hinged and is in good working order. It does not have the original quilted silk on the interior but could be easily replaced. It is slightly bent at the feet and lid which is quite common for these boxes but I believe, with care, this can be straightened out. Everything still works well and there are no stress points that I can see where attempt to straighten were made.
Overall this dresser casket is in good condition and perfectly functional.
