Here is a fine painting by the noted western artist and illustrator Robert Wesley Amick (1879-1969). This noted artist had a long and illustrious career as a working artist; mainly illustrating for several of the popular magazines of the day, as well as creating paintings for prints for schools and children's books. He became very popular in his day, and his western scenes were very sought after. This painting is a bit more unusual subject wise that most of his western scenes, depicting docks on the West Coast, probably near Monterey or Sausalito. It has a nice 1930's WPA feel to it, and wold work very well in a collection going in that direction. It is in excellent condition, being housed in a nice contemporary frame. If purchased I will remove the glass for shipping, due to the fragile nature of it due to size.. It is 22x29 in size. Offered by Vander Molen Fine Art, where you can find more examples on its web pages.
