A nice, moody painting is what we have here by Ejnar Hansen (1884-1965). This California regionalist watercolor is beautifully done and has a haunting feel to it. Mr Hansen's watercolors are rare, and this one is masterfully done and framed nicely as well. Mr. Hansen came to the U.S. in 1924, and settled in Pasadena, where he taught for many years at Chouinard, Otis, and the Pasadena School of Fine arts, among others. He was also a primary artist in decorating the Adamson House in Malibu, the Mecca for tile collectors! It is framed nicely and would be beautiful in any collection!
