Antique footed silver plated napkin ring, lacy rims, engraved with the name Cora. Until the 50s and 60s, napkin rings were never used for guests, only for the family members, to hold one's napkin throughout the week, replaced each meal, since laundry was done once a week, and each person kept their napkin in their own, different ring until laundry day. The idea of matching sets, used for guests, is a relatively new idea. This one has very worn plating, and there is a break in the lacy rim as shown, it is missing one of the flourishes. Age darkened as seen.
