Vintage signed Miriam Haskell set of matching necklace and bracelet, both 3 strand style of glass faux baroque pearls of different sizes, with ornate gold tone finish clasps with heavily built up big flower of wired tiny glass faux seed pearls, antiqued gold tone petals, single rhinestone center, and the necklace clasp has an addition decoration of three petal loops of wired rhinestone montees. The clasp on the bracelet is round, and the clasp on the necklace is oval, to balance the extra loops.
The necklace measures 19.5 inches on its shortest strand. There is corrosion on the tiny cubed spacer beads. The bracelet measures a scant 7 inches, and this is smaller than that would suggest due to the thickness of the three rows of beads. I have a medium to medium small wrist and it fits me very, very closely, with no play. There is also corrosion on the spacer beads, as shown. The pearls are in excellent condition, finish clean and tight and unscratched. The set was likely never, or rarely worn; the back of the bracelet clasp shows no signs of ever having been worn, and the necklace still has the store price tag thread attached, see photo.
I am listing today a large amount of Miriam Haskell jewelry from the same estate. The owner bought large amounts of good quality designer costume jewelry over the span of many years, early 1950s through the early 1990s, and because there was such a staggering amount, it was worn very little, or later in her life, not at all, so condition on much is excellent, or unworn, much still had tags or remnants of strings from the tags, or was still on cards. A very few of the Haskell pieces that I am listing today are not marked, but they are definitely Miriam Haskell, as she was extremely designer conscious, designer loyal, and did not own anything "in the style of" throughout her entire collection.
Some of the pieces show some corrosion or darkening on the spacers, or end caps. I have not addressed this myself, as Haskell dealers and collectors have their own preferred methods to clean this up, and prefer to do this work themselves rather than have someone who does not know what they are doing fiddle with it.
