One of two large groupings of mid century serving implements with hand painted porcelain handles featuring light blue, raised enameled decoration, and gold, and with English stainless steel blades or business ends. These popular English imports had the handles made in Japan, then were assembled in England with English blades, for entertaining, pieces you might not have in your flatware set. Done in various pretty pastel colors, they look lovely mixed with your silver for luncheon and tea parties.
In this grouping, we have a large blade dessert server, a bread knife, a cake saw or knife shaped for also serving, a sardine fork which can b used for other things, a cheese knife, and a pierced tomato server which is popularly used today for cranberry sauce slices, as well. All are in good condition with unblemished blades, no damage to handles. Well cared for. I have another, larger grouping, also in light blue, listed today as well. Happy to have found them well in time for the holidays.
