Antique, latter Victorian period Tufts silver plated four piece tea set, handsome Assyrian motif collars, what was then called French silk finish which is a soft matte finish of fine stippling on the bodies, engraved floral decoration. Tufts model number 1948. Set consists of teapot measuring 6.5 inches high and 10.5 inches across handle to spout, covered sugar bowl measuring 5.25 inches high and 7.5 inches across the handles, waste bowl measuring 3.75 inches high and 6.5 inches across the handles, and creamer measuring 4.25 inches at the lip and 5.75 inches across at the handle.
Very good condition for age and type, no wear through of plating, sugar bowl has all over, even tiny contact marks on the body and handles from use, shown photo 8 but hard to make out and the waste bowl to a lesser degree, just expected, age consistent contact evidence, and the creamer has a little, shallow indentation, shown photo 9. No other issues. Evidence of age only, no wear through or damage. Due to size, please note that the package will be oversized according to post office limits on box size, and the shipping for this item is going to be Oversize category for destinations far West or South of my Northeast location, so please check shipping costs on this page before deciding to buy, as shipping costs, while actual cost only, will rise sharply for those destinations, though not for destinations closer in to a midpoint of the country. I will of course combine multiple item purchases for actual cost only shipping, by combined weight.
