Fabulous French bronze inkwell encrusted with paste stones in various colors. The inkwell appears to be from the Art Nouveau period with is fluid and graceful style. The bronze is highlighted with enamel paint which is rubbed in places giving it a wonderful aged patina. The lid is hinged and opens to the ink pot. There is no porcelain liner, and I am not sure if there ever was one. The inkwell measures 5" tall by 3 5/8" wide and deep. The stones have a marvelous sparkle which I was unable to capture in the photo. This is much more beautiful in person. Quite a unique and opulent piece!
