This Friar Tuck monk is an egg timer. He is made from ceramic. The egg timer tube is glass with white sand or a similar material. The monk's head and the well are glazed. His suit is matt brown. It has a green ink stamp on the bottom "Goebel - W. Germany". There is also an impressed number that I cannot make out. There seem to also be initials from the particular painter. The "well" has foam inside that can be shifted to hold the glass tube more vertical. This piece is 3" tall x 2-1/2" wide x 1-1/2" deep. This egg timer does still work.
This egg timer was used. There are a couple of scratches to the matt brown finish. There are no chips or cracks.
