This match book holder and safe is made from bronze, I believe. A magnet does not stick except where there is solder between the child and the holder. The child is cold painted. He has a light blue shirt with red overall pants. His boots are black. This piece is heavy for it's size. It is 3" tall x just over 1-3/4" wide x 1-1/4" deep.
This match holder was used. There are scrapes and scuffs to the bronze. There is a small hole between his arm and waist. I believe this was done during manufacture as a vent hole. It would not be easy to place this hole so perfectly after the manufacturing process. There are chips and wear to the paint. Please see the pictures - they are magnified. This is a lovely piece for the Black Americana or match holder collector.
