Nice group of 3 vintage spice containers. 1) "The J.R. Watkins Company - Spice Blend" paper label on a forest green reusable jar. It has an aluminum top with holes - I have put a piece of scotch tape over the holes so the spices will not come out. The jar measures 4-1/4" tall with a 1-1/2" diameter. The jar has the Owens Illinois "eye" mark on the bottom along with "12 - 8 - 3". These containers were made to be reused after the spice container was empty. Nice. 2) "Royal Shield Brand - Pure Sage - Winnipeg Canada" cardboard body tube container with a tin top and bottom. It has a pry off lid. This container is 3-5/8" tall with a 1-5/8" diameter. It is a bit dirty. There are some "nicks" to the print on one side. There is use to the metal. 3) "Blue Ribbon - Ground Allspice - Poudre Quatre - Epices" tin litho container. From Toronto, Winnipeg, and Vancouver in Canada. This tin measures 2-1/2" tall x 2-3/8" wide x 1-3/8" deep. There is still quite a bit of allspice present. It does leak!! There are some use marks on the litho. There is some rust on the top. It has a slide opening.
All three of these spice containers have been used. Nice vintage containers for the spice or advertising collector.
