RARE and collectible hunting dog or setter with pheasant in its mouth. This large decorative figurine was made by famed Czech company Royal Dux in the pre-war period. Smooth bisque porcelain is finely moulded and hand painted on a naturalistic base with grass and foliage. A beautiful, true-to-life model for the dog-lover or collector. A very special gift.
TRADEMARK for 1918-38 period is the circular stamp 'Made in Czechoslovakia'. Impressed 1092\6. Note: the Royal Dux mark without the applied pink triangle is well documented for this period. This circular mark is sometimes confused with a similar oval Amphora mark.
