Wonderful figurative study in charcoal by Georgia artist, the late Ouida Canaday, probably from the 1960s or 70s. Canaday was both artist and teacher and founded the Artist Atelier of Atlanta. The portrait depicts a young woman and is done on paper. There is some puckering of the paper underneath the plexiglas frame as can be seen. This is a large piece, measuring 24" long and 20" wide. Condition is good but as mentioned, there is some puckering of the paper.
