Large Schumann porcelain plate from Germany dating to the 2nd quarter of the 20th century. In the center of the plate is a transfer design of Murillo's Young Boys Playing Dice , a group of small boys casting die and tasting a plate of delectable melon. The plate is 11.25" in diameter and in excellent condition. The pierced border is intricate, featuring latticework and flowers and is also gold accented. This dramatic plate with its stunning color combinations is typical of Schumann's mastery of porcelain art, and the reason it is so collectible.
