Fabulous set of 8 Schierholz porcelain dessert plates marked C. G. Schierholz & Sohn, Schwarzburg, with the three feathers in a shield with crown on top in pale blue on the reverse. Floral blooms encircle the interior of the plates with a single large bloom in the center. The border is a wide, lattice-work style with each of the little diamond-shaped openings accented with gold, and finally, a beautiful scalloped border forms the rim.
The three feather mark is circa 1907 to 1927. Each of the plates is in good estate condition with no chips or cracks, and no excessive wear, only a few light utensil marks and little loss of the gold on the lattice borders and rims. Size is 8 3/8" in diameter.
Schierholz is an East German manufacturer, located in Plaue, Thuringia, Germany.
