Attractive boxed set of two practical serving pieces, a cheese slicer and a cake breaker for angel food cake. Both pieces are of chrome plated with lucite handles, and appear never to have been used. The manufacturer's pamphlet is also in the box. There is a foil label on the top of the white cardboard box that identifies the pieces as products of Schneider. The label design includes a red background with black and gold lettering. The C.J. Schneider Mfg. Co., was located in Toledo, Ohio. There is no date on the box, but in the pamphlet, there are instructions to send 10 cents for postage to obtain a replacement wire, so first class postage rates were 10 cents around 1950, I think The box has spots on the top of the white cardboard just to let you know that the box is not in original condition.
