The palest blue silk serves as a background for the exquisite embroidery of many Chinese symbols including bats, carp, fruits, and flowers on a narrow band of cloth. The intricate is luminous in the light and quite lovely to behold. It appears there is some thread loss on several areas, but viewed as a whole, these can scarcely be seen. Thee is no soiling or staining. The piece probably dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. The length is 19" and the width is 4".
