This spectacular Daum crystal vase or champagne bucket is a freeform piece of art produced with a thick and heavy body, polished base, and large dollops of glass at the rim which fold over almost like lava erupting from a volcano. The piece is entirely clear crystal. It has been around awhile evidenced by the scratches on the base of the glass. It is signed on the side as shown Daum with a + sign with two cross bars over the vertical, and France. While I haven't weighed the piece, I think it is probably 15 lbs. or so. It stands approx. 9" high and is about 9" in diameter at the widest point at the top. The dollops of glass which erupt at the top and flow out over the rim occur at five different points around the rim. Condition is excellent except for the little scratches on the base.
