Elegant fashions of the day were illustrated in exquisite detail in the Journal du Modes Le Bon Ton, a Paris fashion magazine. This beautiful page torn directly from the magazine and with colors brilliant still, shows just how elaborate the costumes of that era were. I have about 12 of these pages taken from Le Bon Ton, all original pieces torn right out of the journal, not modern reproductions. The colors are soft yet intense, and bespeak the finely honed taste of the French illustrators. The size of each page is approx. 8" x 10.5". There is a bit foxing on some of the pages but nothing to seriously interfere with the image, and if this offends, a conservator can cure the problem. These make beautiful framed wall hangings, especially with a fillet inner frame and a gold leaf outer frame with a neutral colored, marbleized matting. Each page is simply glorious.
