Eggshell thin, these German porcelain cake plates are very delicate. The plates feature the showy, white spathe or funnel-shaped flower of the calla lily on the lower portion of the plate in an asymmetrical design. They are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, just a bit of paint loss on the surface. I have a total of four. The plates are approx. 6" in diameter and have a shaped rim with gold accents. The plates have a lustrous sheen, almost as if they were airbrushed and the colors in the background blend to achieve soft pastels of green with white and gold accents. These plates most likely date to the late 19th century.
