Lovely miniature chest with a one door cabinet below and a single drawer above. Split bamboo is attached to the sides and accents the space between door and cabinet. Also the bamboo is turned at the base to make the feet. The sides appear to be a maple though it could be some other wood. The lovely patina that the piece has acquired from age is a deep honey shade tone. On the back is a partial sticker. One word can be clearly seen--Rouen. This is a French city, presumably the point of origin of this piece. Perhaps it was part of a doll's trousseau or a piece of furniture in a doll house. Size is 6" wide, 4" deep, and 10" tall. Condition is very good.
