Hand-painted bird plate by Charles Field Haviland, France, marked CFH in green on the back. This mark was used from 1868 to 1881, according to The Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain. This plate is similar to another quail plate I have listed but shows a different view of the quail. These two would make a striking display. Both have the same wide pink border overlaid with golden wheat shafts. The quail in the center of the plate is shown in an open field. Size of the plate is 9.5". Colors and artistry are exquisite. Lots of gold embellishment on the borders of the plate and in the wheat. Condition is excellent.
