Lovely old bronze frame, most likely French, with rocaille scrolling and a solid back that can be removed to insert a picture. The frame has a prop stand to hold it upright, and a very thick, beveled glass center which looks like rock crystal though it may be only very thick glass. The glass has two flat chips on the back side, as shown. This could be ground down if it offends, though some would leave it as it adds character to the piece. The frame is approx. 3.25" wide and 4.75" high. One of the tiny screws that holds the back on is missing (there are 3 others). The tissue paper between glass and back of frame is simply to prevent damage to the glass. It can be removed by the purchaser when a photo or small painting is inserted in the frame.
