From my own collection, this is an early antique German paper mache doll on a classic Milliner’s body. She has a lovely face, her center parted hair has some painted stranded detail on her forehead. It is pulled back behind her ears, with modeled side curls and a high braided bun. She wears her original dress with matching pantaloons and a cotton eyelet slip. She stands 121/2” tall, a perfect cabinet size.
