This is a Artisans Order of Mutual Protection medal in sterling silver and hard enamel .The medal measures 2-5/8" X 1-5/8" and is in very fine condition. The reverse is inscribed "PRESENTED TO WALTER BROOKE DEC 49 FIDELITY ASSEMBLY NO 21 A O M P " The medal was made by W J O' Donnell in 1935.
A O M P was a fraternal insurance society conceived after the civil was in 1867 and founded on may 1 1873 making it the second oldest insurance fraternity in the U S after the Ancient Order of United Workers founded in 1868.
