This lovely, hand-painted porcelain powder jar is French, and dates to the Art Deco period, circa 1925. Our lovely lady is very detailed in facial features and in her dress. Her upper torso serves as the lid, and this box can also be used as a bonbonnière
or dresser box to store jewelry or other dresser items. Marked Paradis Paris, Made in France, 304. Paradis, like Robj and P. Bastard, designed pieces to be produced in the Limoges region of France, which were sold through high-end retailers, primarily in Paris during the 1920s and 30s. Excellent condition. Measures 23 cm. (9 in.) tall, the larger of the two sizes of powder jars that Paradis produced.
