This is charming bisque couple is probably from Germany or maybe France circa 1880 or so. It is beautifully detailed in it's casting and hand painting. The young man and woman are dressed in costumes of the 18th century. Wonderful colors of light pink, pale blue, yellow and green. The young man holds a lute and the woman holds a flute. This piece measures about 13.5" tall and is in very good age appropriate condition. No chips, cracks or loses. The only mark on the piece is at the back, the number 19, and perhaps another 9, but it may be just a partial repeat of the 19.
