This is a very rare children's model book of toy animals published by Ernest Nister/E. P. Dutton circa 1901. There is no copyright date on the book, But I did find information on the internet and this book is listed in a Publishers Trade List for the year 1901, selling for 50 cents. This is a large size, measuring 12 x 10 inches with a full color glossy cover. The book has eight pages, 6 with perforated edges containing the animal models to be cut out. Two of these pages have been taken out and have some animals cut out. Of the attached pages, one has a small cut out where an animal was removed. Please view pictures to see these details. There are MANY animals intact and this is still very usable. Animals include horses, donkey, dog, pig, peacock, chicks and chickens, sheep, birds, ducks, geese, turkey, cat, cows, rooster, etc. See photos. There are some written instructions/guidelines for making the models. There is also children's poems by Clifton Bingham. Bottom edge of cover has a 4 inch tear at spine. Not perfect, but overall very clean and a great copy of a rare publication. The pieces would be very suitable for a toy barnyard display or with other antique toy or paper related items. This would also be great for using with similar period paper dolls! This is a large display book at 12 inches tall!
