Here is a rare and beautiful 1900 era gift book or booklet titled "Meadow-Song" by Frank Ferndale. Made of heavy card stock, the cover is heavily embossed with intricate die cut decoration and fancy scalloped edges. There is an open cut panel (like a window) with sheer lavender color silk. This window design is beautifully enhanced with pink flowers, gilt decoration, tiny birds and pink roses. Please see the photos for details. This is a stunning piece! It measures about 8.5 x 5.75 inches and has 12 unnumbered pages. There are color illustrations of birds and flowers. NOTE ~On one inside page there is an area of slight paper loss where the pages once adhered ~ this is very visible in the 5th photo, so please look closely for an accurate representation. I see know other issues. The pages are secure and clean, the binding held with a silk ribbon. The name H. E. Grier is written inside the back cover, bottom edge. This exquisite poetry booklet was published by Art Lithographic Company. There is no publishing date, but it is certainly circa 1900. This will make an excellent addition to any collection of antique paper ephemera and display beautifully. Please email with any questions. Price reflects the single condition issue as mentioned.
