Exquisite! Lenci Type Spain Cloth Doll Munecas Pages Matarin w Tag! Published in Antique Doll Collector

Spanish dolls have been near and dear to me for a very long time! This little sweetie is a vintage circa 1930s-40s cloth Lenci-type doll that is just exquisite and SO minty! She has her original tag that says, "Munecos Pages-Matarin Madrid" (the company was previously Munecas Pages in the 1920s). She is dressed beautifully in her all-original costume from Avila, Spain. She is SO clean with no tears, no holes, no stains. She has an exquisite face that is hand painted and in fantastic condition with her full red lips, high cheek color and blue side glancing eyes! She has a lovely straw hat with felt flowers and glass beads. She has a colorful shawl, checkered apron to match her sleeves, and a felt skirt with lots of trim. She has her paper tag on her skirt. She wears her traditional Spanish sandals that wrap up her ankles. She is a muslin-like cloth with a beautiful mohair-like thread wig under her hat. In 2009, I wrote an article for Antique Doll Collector called, "Spain: The Cloth Doll Boom of the 1920s and 30s." She is pictured in my article and I will provide a color copy of the article for the buyer. She is just a beautiful doll! No smells whatsoever, exceptionally clean and lovely!
