We have offered here a magnificent Carl Thieme Dresden Porcelain Compote. This one has a girl standing on the base with a basket of flowers. The support of the compote is in the shape of a tree trunk, which is loaded with tendrils of vines and flowers. The compote at the top has pierced sides and the inside is finished with the Dresden Flowers pattern. The Compote is 6 1/2" across and stands 10" tall. It has a couple of minor chips to the petals to the flowers, but that would be expected for something this fragile and age. The mark on the bottom is a Carl Thieme mark which was used from 1888 to 1902. This one is a truly stunning example of the fine work done by this factory in Dresden.
