I think this bottle is a foundation piece to a collection. It isn't massive is size, but it gives height and peaks curiosity. It stands over 7 inches from a vase of 2 inches. Of coarse the glass curves..outwards so you need a spot just over 2.5 inches to park it. It is what we call "zipper" glass at the base; the neck is beautifully and deeply faceted. It has a brass screw top fitted with a finial rose with two little holes to allow a sprinkle of cologne through. The little rose screws up and down to close or open the holes. It very cool and completely operational.
Please notice I changed background in taking the pictures. The lead picture shows no color, but this piece has a decided purple hue which is typical of glass made with manganese dioxide. Such glass turns shades of purple as it is exposed to sunlight.
The bottle is excellent in condition as I see no issue and the glass is clear. The cap I have not polished...it may have some age scars, nothing serious.
I have this is a gift box ready to wrap!
