This plate is so different from the normal. It is a 10 inch white blank with a cascade of fushia in white with pink centers and gold stamen. Elements of the cascade actually reach to the bottom of the plate. Its marvelous! The edge is deeply scalloped and has some interest atop which I tried to photograph for you to see. The edge is gilded but only on the outer edge; it is not seen from the top. The plate does rise up from the center so you have a slight bowl effect. The mark is the old R. C. mark from 1900. Bavaria is below. In between is Malmaison (I think) which I do not know it if refers to the pattern or perhaps the decorating source. This plate is a show piece and will bring comment.
The plate is excellent in condition. There is a bit of gold loss on the outer rim...not major at all.
We hope you have the time to tour Orphaned Treasures and enjoy the porcelain collection.
