Once again to be repetitive, in case you start with this listing, nothing is more "Modern" or "Retro" than Russel Wrights American Modern designs. The dinnerware is made by Steubenville Pottery and was and is wildly popular. It was made in many colors and most be people treated the dinnerware like Fiesta - mixing and matching the various colors. If you are purest, this listing is my favorite color and it looks like granite and is totally neutral and clean in feel. American Modern was introduced in 1939 and discontinued in 1959. American Modern has a shiny glaze. Makes good display!
