This is an entire album of Commemorative Covers issued by Fleetwood in conjunction with the International Aerospace Hall of Fame in San Diego. There is one cover issued on the birthdate of each Aerospace Hall of Fame member and postmarked from the city of his birth. This includes fourteen nations in all. There are 69 such covers and the description/bio that is designed to display along side.
So this is a collection of interest for aviation buffs and for the philatelist. It also is serves as marvelous lookback at how aviation and space exploration evolved. The compression of time is remarkable. The set is in wonderful condition as each cover is within the album's plastic sleeves. If you can think of a famous aviator, chances are the aviator is represented. The art work is by artist David Stone. The original promotional flyer is with the set. All covers were issued between 1979 and 1981. The album itself weighs six pounds and is approx. 10 x 10 in size.
