My husband acquired both of these items from a guy who told him that these belonged to his grandfather who had worked all his life for the railroad. In the early days, his grandfather had worked as a ticket agent so this guy believes that these were actual items his grandfather had probably used.
The telegraph is stamped "Menominee" and the sounder is stamped JH Bunnell & Co New York USA. Just by looking at them, they appear to be complete but I can't say for sure so they are being sold "as is". I've done some research on both names and found that both Bunnell & Co and Menominee began their existence in the late 1800's. I can't say for sure how old these 2 pieces are but I would definitely say they have some serious age to them. You be the judge.
Both items are being sold together.
