Comments : It is obvious from the navette-shaped clasp that this bracelet has undergone a transformation at one time or another in its two hundred plus years . Perhaps there was a third strand of florettes attached to the clasp and these two strands moved . Impossible to be sure really but what is interesting is that all things point to the bracelet being altered many years ago. All the connecting loops except one , attached to the clasp and otherwise, are cut steel faceted split rings and are as old as the rest of the bracelet .
