Natural garnet carbuncles , true red in color, they measure a large , ( approximately ) , 15mm X 12mm in size and each stone is set with a natural rose-cut diamond center set in a saw-toothed bezel.
All handmade and a wearable 8 & 1/4" long . Bright, rich yellow gold , likely English or Scottish , circa 1870 . Probably 15CT. ......
A favorite of the Victorian Period , technically of the British Order Of The Garter , the buckle motif is steeped with symbolism , such as protection and binding fidelity. ......

Please note; The box shown is for display only and not original to the bracelet . ...... It was purchased a few trips ago at one of my favorite flea markets in Avignon France ....... The dealer wanted to keep the bracelet and box together , so I had to buy the bracelet that was in the box that I didn't really want , just to get this box that I REALLY wanted !
