Beautifully made by the 19th century silver maker Adolphe Boulenger, Paris France 1864-1899, is this twelve piece fish set in silverplate. Marked below the fork tines and on the knife blades BOULENGER and BLANC along with two stars inside a square cartouche . Wonderful quality , substantial heft in the hand in a charming thread and bow motif pattern decorated on the backs as well as the fronts , an indicator of their antique age . Circa 1890 in excellent condition , no loss of plating with normal signs of use.
