Antique Arts & Crafts Era Sterling Silver 40 Carat Natural Blue Chalcedony Ring
This fine, handmade circa 1910 ring features a luminous, high-domed natural Blue Chalcedony cabochon in a deep bezel setting, with a subtly elegant gallery of pairs of arches and simple banding on the shoulders. The Chalcedony has a wonderful waxy luster, periwinkle blue color tones and an ethereal semi-translucent body showing concentric banding under strong direct light. The 19.8 x 14.74-mm gemstone (an estimated 40.64 Carats) in its setting rises 7/16-inches above the finger, and the ring is in excellent condition, tests positive for sterling silver with an impressed "VER" maker's mark, measures a size 7 (sizable) and weighs 10.7 grams.
