Found in it's original box, for your delectation this beautiful large 19th century French white bride's wedding handkerchief. A delicious hand made and embroidered confection with a multitude of flowers , foliage and scrolls, embellished with a flounce of Valencienne lace. The hanky measures 20 1/2 x 20 1/2 inches. It has been used but remains in a good general condition with the following imperfections : 2 tiny rust mark : small area of light storage marks , 2 breaks in the batste and tiny breaks to the stitching on the inside of several motifs ( although these could be fairly easily repaired by a skilled hand if desired ), please see last 3 photos for examples. I can not see any tears , holes or old repairs to the batiste.. Please study the photos as these form part of the description, if you need more please do not hesitate to ask. The hanky is in a clean condition and presented in it's battered and damaged original white and gold box lined with blue paper and silk ribbon . It came from the magasin L. N FEVRIER , Au Petit St Thomas, 6, Grand Rue, Montpelier. A beautiful wedding hanky for collection or display !
