From Aluminia of Denmark, a sister company to Royal Copenhagen, a tall vase designed by Berte Jessen for the Tenera line the two factories shared. The vase stands 10 inches high and is 3 7/8 inches in diameter at both the top and bottom. The vase, however, does get narrower as it rises to the wide lip at the top. On the bottom it's marked with the Aluminia trademark, which some have described as a beehive--it's actually the letter A with wavy lines going through it, echoing Royal Copenhagen's logo. It's also marked with the painter's mark, the product number, 207 over 2967 and Berte Jessen's initials. The vase is a factory 2nd which is indicated by a scratch through the logo. It's barely visible here, but if you look closely at the A, you'll see a horizontal line running down the middle of the mark and continuing into the "M" in Denmark. The reason it's a 2nd is shown in the 3rd picture--there's a small dimple in the glaze. That it's a factory 2nd is taken into account in my price. Otherwise, it's a lovely vase, quite impressive. weight: 916 grams
