Antique Victorian Silver topped 10K Rosy Gold, Sapphire & Old Mine-Cut Diamond Crescent Moon Pendant, c. late 19th century
Crescent motifs were all the rage during the Victorian era and remain most coveted jewelry items to this day
This enchanting crescent is hand fabricated in silver topped 10K rosy gold and encrusted with a row of beautifully hued chunky round & cushion-cut blue sapphires graduating in size toward the center of the crescent, with the largest being approx. 0.40ct
The crescent is further decorated with small but lively and sparkling old mine-cut diamonds
There is a total of seventeen (17) sapphires with an estimated total weight of 2.80ct-3.00ct and fifteen (15) old mine-cut diamonds with a total estimated weight 0.70ct, colorless/faint yellow in color and SI-I clarity
Originally a brooch, our jeweler expertly converted it to a pendant with an addition of solid 14K white gold bail
Not hallmarked but acid tested and guaranteed 10K and silver

Condition:
Excellent Condition. Patina to the gold and silver, surface wear to the metal consistent with age. The very first at the top and the smallest sapphire has a chip which is hardly noticeable even with a loupe.
