WOW! Featured here is a stunning Lanvin Paris © Modernist Necklace. Dating back to the 1960s, this Haute Couture necklace is composed of a high quality gold-toned metal. The pendant measures 2 3/4 inches long (3 inches with the bail) and 2 inches wide. The bail has a rounded hole, and is accompanied by rich gold-toned serpentine chain measuring 16 inches long. NOTE: This necklace will come with two serpentine chains. The original chain is thicker and measures 24 inches. It does, however, show some discoloration due to age. It is still pretty and wearable, but I am including the extra chain as an option. The design of the pendant is quite unusual. There are three separate indented portions of the pendant, each a different color, shape and size. All are surrounded by the gold-toned metal. All appear to have what I would describe as a lustrous enameled finish. One portion is a light yellow color, one a forest green color, and the largest portion on the bottom is black. There are also several openings of different shapes in the design of the pendant as well. This piece is marked Lanvin Paris© on the back top portion of the pendant with trademark on a gold-toned oval plaque fused to the pendant. Dating back from the early 1960's, this necklace is in very good vintage condition. There are some minor scratch marks on the gold-tone portion of the pendant, as would be expected given its age. However, this does not distraction from the beauty of the necklace at all, especially when worn. When you are wearing something this gorgeous and of such good quality, a few tiny scratches won't matter. There are some small scratches on the back of the pendant as well, but again, not a distraction from the beauty. These scratches may appear more prominent in the photos because of the flash. However, in the interest of full disclosure, I wanted to mention every detail.
This is a very substantial, and absolutely stunning LANVIN piece. This Modernist Necklace is simple elegance at its best.
