I've made this bangle with a matte shine by hand out of .999 fine silver. I've added the dots to create a rustic, bold look.
When I'm working in silver, my purpose is to put human soul into it. I've been a practicing and publishing creative writing professor of poetry throughout my life, and one of the reasons I like working in silver is that I'm interested in expressing human emotion in my jewelry just as I am when it comes to words.
I can't know if I'm really accomplishing this goal because this art is relatively new to me. I've got a long way to go! But I'll be working steadily towards this goal for the rest of my life. I also like to create an archaic look if I can.
If you would like me to put this in a rotary tumbler with steel shot, which causes a high shine and a smoothness like tumbled rock, I'll be happy to do that for you. This will fit most wrists. Let me know your wrist size to be sure. It's extremely stiff, but I can anneal it and re-oxidize it to widen or narrow it for you.
