An exceptional portrait on porcelain, this English made portrait of a Victorian woman in full regale seems to be a hand embellished transfer. You can see brush strokes and raised paint on the domed surface of the porcelain. She has on a beautiful blue dress and hat with feathers and hair piled high atop her head. She has red, red lips and is glancing off to the side. I have never seen this woman before on portrait jewelry, so she is very unique. She is a good size at 2 inches by 1 ½”, she also has open scrolls of lovely cream enameling making up the frame with a rolled border of gold metal. In excellent condition, the pin has a good working safety catch and straight pin back plus a loop for a pendant in the back. This is the perfect piece to be worn on a chain or a brooch and it is signed on the back TLM (for Thomas L Mott) MADE IN ENGLAND. In excellent condition, the frame is a beautiful gold gilded antique white, and the portrait is outstanding, making this portrait pin a beautiful vintage pin to wear and to collect.
