This exceptional rare vase was made by the Bohemian glass company Harrach and this vase was painted by Josep Pfohl. It is about 13 l/2 inches tall. If you need to see similar examples of Josef Pfohl work please see page 53 of Collectible Bohemian Glass by Robert & Deborah Truitt.
This footed vase was made in two pieces - the bottom a goblet and the top a cylinder vase and were attached together with a strip of glass going across the glass. A five inch strip of the attachment strip is missing and the base has one tiny flake. However, since this vase is so unique and rare this should not detract from its beauty.
The picture is of a warrior or aristocrat with a gold eagle helmet. Please see picture for more details. This is a raise enameled painted item and the painting is superb. This item is being priced at a fraction of its worth because of the missing strip of glass.
I have another similar vase and it will be listed separately.
This vase has no other missing parts, cracks, or repairs.
